About Our Chef
Chef Michael de Beyer was literally born to be a chef! Born in Essen, Germany to parents who were both in the food industry, how could he not become a chef. In fact, his mother was a certified Pastry Chef and his father specialized in industrial food preparation for a large international food company. At the age of 18, Chef de Beyer started in an apprenticeship under a special program that allowed him to work the first 2 years in training followed by a third year of experience in a hotel restaurant setting. During these three years, he also attended culinary school at Berufsfachschule Köln. Over the next 10 years, Chef Michael took on as many restaurant jobs as he could in order to gain as much knowledge in an array of cuisines.
Two very notable positions Chef Michael held were at the Altenheim St. Heribert and RS Catering. The position at Altenheim St. Heribert was as Director of Food & Beverage at the young age of 22! Chef Michael served many celebrities including Tina Turner, Helen Hoffner, Udo Lindenberg, Robert Mitchum and Prince! This was the second highlight in his career. In 1997, he opened his own restaurant in Montgomery Texas—Kaiserhof restaurant and Wunderbar. He and The George Manor restaurant met 2014 and the rest is history!
